Life has been kinda nuts.
We're currently renovating our new-to-us house and about halfway through the week, decided that in order to stay close to our budget, I would do all the painting in the upstairs bedrooms. So on Friday I ordered paint, hauled two kids to pick it and paint supplies up, and brought it all to the house.
On Saturday I woke up early, made my hunny bacon and eggs, packed up baby Claire and headed to the house. Our plan was Alex would watch Cohen and I would bring Claire so that I could nurse her every two hours instead of pumping or running back and forth. Efficient in some ways, but oh so inefficient in others...
But Claire was a total angel and between Saturday and Sunday afternoon, I was able to:
- patch and sand all bedrooms and hallway
- complete the master bedroom
- paint the hallway ceilings
- start Claire's room (trims and closet)
I still need to wash and prime two walls in Claire's room, and paint both Claire and Cohen's rooms, but it was a good start. And the dirty jobs are mostly out of the way.
On top of all this I realized, "oh hey, I need to pack up my entire house in the next few weeks!" So I've started sorting and purging and packing. It's gonna be a big job, especially with a milk-fiend baby and a nut-ball toddler, but I actually don't mind the work.
So if you're wondering where I am, just picture a pile of boxes, covered in paint, a hungry baby and jumping toddler. I'll be somewhere in the middle saying "be careful!" :)
